The winning entries of the Plus new writers award will be published in the June 2008 issue of Plus and read by an international audience of over two hundred thousand.
The winners will also receive an iPod Nano, a year's subscription to Nature, and a selection of signed popular maths books by some of today's best science writers, including Ian Stewart and John D Barrow.
Plus would like to thank the Maths, Stats and Operational Research Network, a Subject Centre of the Higher Education Academy, the London Mathematical Society, the journal Nature, and the authors and publishers of these books for donating the prizes to the competition.
